We must take immediate businesslike action to limit climate change to
2 degrees C, not for ourselves, but for future generations.

Tasmanian Forest Woes July 23, 2007
Today the Labor party backed the existing forest agreements in Tasmania, backing away from last election's commitment to the protection of old growth forests.
This heralds a bipartisan approach between Labor and the Coalition which is disastrous for the environment. In a highly charged election year, it is all too easy for the major parties to go for seats at any cost.
Needless to say, we totally support the protection of high conservation value old growth forests, and are working to hasten the day when the type of decision we have just seen is unthinkable !
